A Common Christian; An Uncommon Courage - Acts 6 & 7

In Acts 6–7, the early church faces both internal growing pains and external persecution. As the church multiplies, real needs arise, and the apostles respond by empowering Spirit-filled servants to protect unity, care for the overlooked, and keep the Word of God central.

Then we meet Stephen who is a faithful servant full of grace, power, wisdom, and the Holy Spirit. Stephen’s bold witness reminds us that God uses ordinary believers with uncommon courage to proclaim Jesus, even when faithfulness comes at a cost.

In this message, we see that the church grows stronger when God’s people serve faithfully, protect unity, prioritize the Word, and refuse to compromise the Gospel. The mission of Jesus does not advance through celebrity Christians, but through Spirit-filled disciples who decide: “It’s not about me.”
